1992 is a female artist duo consisting of artist and architect Pegy Zali and artist and musician Ioanna Mitza. 1992 is the year when after the fall of communism in Albania, a large number of economic refugees and immigrants from Albania arrived in Greece. In 1992 Mitza and her family moved from Albania and settled in Greece, the same year Zali's father was murdered by a man of Albanian origin who had just arrived in her hometown in Greece, Megara.

The mass migration of Albanians to Greece is the center of artistic research for 1992. By using autobiographical references, personal narratives and historical documents they create live events, sonic and visual installations.
